Comfort Keepers® Goes to School

Sodexo works closely with hundreds of school systems throughout the United States to provide healthy school meals and manage facilities as part of their Quality of Life services. Now Comfort Keepers® is joining Sodexo in helping teachers and other school employees help the ones they love.

Effective immediately, the Sodexo Schools group will be offering Comfort Keepers’ services as a voluntary employee benefit for employees and family members of participating schools (K-12). This new program offers the opportunity to highlight your business in the local community as Sodexo’s District Managers tout your services to their clients as a valuable employee retention tool. When teachers and other employees have the peace of mind of knowing that their loved ones are being cared for, they can concentrate on doing what they do best-educating America’s children.

Comfort Keepers’ franchises that participate in this program will offer a 5% discount off the published list price of companionship and personal care services.

If you have questions about this or other Comfort Keepers’ key accounts, feel free to reach out to David Simic, CKFI Senior Vice President of Business Development, at DavidSimic@ComfortKeepers.com.

Is there an agreement or form we need to fill out to participate in this program?

  • davidsimic@corp.comfortkeepers.com

There’s no enrollment process required for this opportunity. If there is interest in your area, we will talk about it with the local Sodexo District Manager before Sodexo proposes Comfort Keepers to one of their school clients.

    Thanks,

    David Simic

How do I find out who the Sodexo district manager is, as well as which schools participate, in my area?

  • davidsimic@corp.comfortkeepers.com

The sales process for this opportunity will be controlled by the Sodexo District Manager, so we will not be sharing Sodexo client information. Each of these accounts has unique history and the Sodexo DM will judge whether introducing Comfort Keepers is appropriate. If there is interest in your area, we will talk about it with the local Sodexo DM before Sodexo proposes Comfort Keepers to one of their school clients.

This may change over time, but Sodexo will have this control during the initial roll out phase of the project.

    Thanks,

    David Simic

I am very interested in moving forward with this program. What is the next step? It seems to me that we should be ready to begin working on this when teachers are back to school. Is the contact for the schools the same as for hospitals?

    Thanks,

    Eydie

Contract years are not necessarily tied to the same time frame as the school year. Sodexo has separate teams managing healthcare and schools.

You can always approach a school in your area and propose a working relationship with your location.

      Thank you,

David, will you please reach out to the DM in Memphis on our behalf. We would be interested in participating. Numerous schools served by Sodexo here.
    Thanks,

Hi David.. We are interested in Fredericksburg VA
We have a preferred agreement with several of the school districts as well as the VEA (Virginia Education Association) but I have not communicated with Sodexo .. on another note, Sodexo has a huge presence at Quantico Marine base with all of their food service facilities, I would be extremely interested in having a conversation with them for the base as well. Also, our local university, University of Mary Washington is a Sodexo food service school, while I know the university Sodexo manager, I do not know regional….
    This is very interesting

      Hi, Ann –

I agree, this is very interesting and we have seen a number of offices participate in this program. David is no longer with CKFI so you should reach out to Chris Tepe to learn more about this opportunity. I know he will be glad to help you with the process. Thanks so much. If you need anything else, please feel free to call me.at 937-665-1313. Thank you.
